How do I certify?

Certification

Syracuse University encourages our supply partners to certify their business.  In an effort to help you, please see the information below on how to gain more information about City of Syracuse, NYS and Federal Government and LGBT certifications.

 City of Syracuse

City of Syracuse encourages entities to do business with a City of Syracuse certified Minority and/or Woman-Owned (M/WBE) business and that such entities will  demonstrate a good-faith effort to identify potential vendors.  To see if your company qualifies and to apply for certification, visit the City of Syracuse MWBE Participation Program.

NYS Certified Diverse Suppliers

New York State encourages entities to do business with a New York State-certified Minority or Woman-Owned (M/WBE) and/or Service Disabled Veteran business and that such entities demonstrate a good-faith effort to identify potential vendors.  To see if your company qualifies and to apply for certification, visit the Division of Minority and Women’s Business Development (M/WBE) or the Division of Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB).

 Federal Government

The federal government encourages entities to do business with federally certified businesses. To see if your company qualifies and to apply for certification, visit the US Small Business Administration Web Site at Small Business Federal Contracting.

 National LBGT Chamber of Commerce

The NGLCC SDI offers certification to LGBTBEs, as well as a host of opportunities to enhance LGBT business’ visibility to corporations seeking to do business with LGBT suppliers.  Please visit the LGBT Chamber of Commerce.
